Abstract

Abstract: The present work of the investigation called Flotation of the material of the MM compression of the South condominium, námbra was realized in the phases that the same ones were used to determine the optimal conditions for the recovery of the floated material. The first part consisted in the characterization of the sample and preparation for the subsequent flotation. In the characterization of sample it is possible to determine that the most predominant minerals are: calcite, epitote, chlorite, albite, grosularia and in smaller amounts of quartz. In the characterization of the sample, the optimum grinding times were established for the different grain sizes. In the second phase, the fleets where the grain size, the pH, the collector concentration and the optimum conditions to work were obtained were 200 (74µm), pH 10 and collector concentration (404-G) of 75 g/Ton, with these three factors together a 90% recovery was obtained.
