Abstract: The story: The times of Jorge Dávila Vásquez's forgetfulness, is one of the most emblematic representations of Ecuadorian literature, for its essence, word and combination of different scenarios in the same story. Reasons for analyzing the work from a bibliographic and documentary typology, which consists of: identifying the themes and motifs that make up this majestic book, through the presentation of various social interest themes such as the breakup of the family and the presence of the baroque, Stories that undoubtedly reveal the essence of literature and awaken the interest of reading to children and young people. Finally, formulate the respective conclusions on the topic analysis and case recommendations for future researchers to guide their knowledge towards a comprehensive reading.
