dc.description	Resumen: El presente trabajo, pretende determinar las representaciones de género que puedan existir en las imágenes y contenidos de los textos escolares otorgados por el estado ecuatoriano, en las materias básicas: ciencias naturales, lengua y literatura, matemáticas, y estudios sociales; edición 2016. Entre las variables de estudio, se tiene lo referente a la incertidumbre principal ¿Qué representación proyecta cada género en los educandos al visualizar personajes masculinos y femeninos en las páginas de los textos? El desarrollo de esta investigación se realizó a través de metodología cualitativa. Misma que utilizó la técnica de la entrevista, dirigida al director del distrito de educación Yantzaza El Pangui y a un docente del colegio Juan XXIII de la ciudad de Yantzaza, de quienes se recogió la percepción con respecto a los textos escolares. Así mismo usando la técnica de análisis de contenido se pudo realizar la interpretación del personaje identificado en los textos. Entre los principales hallazgos, están: se encontraron algunos rasgos de discriminación y estereotipos; son claros los sesgos en cuanto a desigualdad y a equidad de género; entre otras.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	Abstract:The present work, aims to determine the representations of gender that may exist in the images and contents of school textbooks granted by the Ecuadorian state, in the basic subjects: natural sciences, language and literature, mathematics, and social studies; 2016 edition. Among the variables of study, we have what refers to the main uncertainty. What representation does each genre project in the students when visualizing male and female characters in the pages of the texts? The development of this research was carried out through qualitative methodology. Same as the interview technique, directed to the director of the education district Yantzaza - El Pangui and to a teacher of the school "Juan XXIII" of the city of Yantzaza, from whom the perception regarding the textbooks was collected. Likewise, using the technique of content analysis, the interpretation of the character identified in the texts could be performed. Among the main findings are: some features of discrimination and stereotypes were found; the biases regarding inequality and gender equity are clear; among other.	es_ES
