Diagnóstico de las prácticas de Responsabilidad Social Universitaria en las Instituciones de Educación Superior del Ecuador

Abstract

Abstract:The objective of this research work is to analyze the University Social Responsibility (RSU) as a strategy of connection with society in the universities of Ecuador. To fulfill the objectives, two case studies have been taken, which will allow us to diagnose the RSU practices developed by these institutions. At present, Social Responsibility is one of the lines of action for universities, allowing them to become involved through different social actors and groups of the population. This relationship is consolidated by applying the knowledge acquired in research, teaching and contribution to the needs of the immediate environment. The RSU is included in the strategic planning of the institutions and is even recognized through the regulations and regulations as the Organic Law of Higher Education (LOES) in Ecuador. From this perspective, the need to raise this study and investigate and evidence data from Ecuadorian universities, which allow to measure the actions of these and their contribution to society.
