Percepción y opinión pública de los ecuatorianos sobre la realidad socio-ambiental: análisis del cantón Cuenca.

Abstract

The purpose of this titling work was to investigate and analyze the perception that the population of the canton of Cuenca has regarding the environment, citizen participation, quality of life, market, water, and equity. We conducted a non-experimental research, with a quantitative approach, the collection of information was through a survey with structured questions. A simple random sampling was applied to a total population of 384 inhabitants, composed of people between 18 and 48 years of age. The results obtained show that the canton of Cuenca the water quality of the city has been maintained in the last 10 years. In addition, the Cuenca population takes into account three important findings in environmental issues, such as the loss of natural resources, air pollution, water and noise elements that cause climate change; there are also marked inequalities between men and women, with older adults and people with disabilities suffering greater inequality; It should be noted that the Cuenca population acquires the food products in the municipal markets, because they are organic and comply with the labeling of the nutritional value.
