Abstract

Abstract:n this work the state of the art is established in the use of bioelectric activity in MFC and PMFC type cells. In the basic engineering stage, at the prefeasibility level, the performance of MFC cells with dry substrate and wet substrate is evaluated; and, the operation of different materials for electrode construction is tested. In the detailed engineering stage, the operation of PMFC cells with three species of the moor is tested: duranta, cypress and eucalyptus; and, it is experimented with three types of constructive configurations of the electrode system and various depths of the substrate.
