Abstract:The present work The present work has as its theme Principles of constructivism in the Institutional Pedagogical Proposal of the Private Educational Unit "San Pedro Pascual". Its objective is to explain the contribution of Constructivism to the sustainable learning of students as the foundation of the Institutional Pedagogical Proposal of the Private Educational Unit "San Pedro Pascual" of Quito. About the documentary sample the qualitative methodology was applied with the scientific method of documentary review and its content analysis technique, thus we triangularly compare the principles of constructivism with the premises expressed in the documents to conclude that the Educational Unit can be classified as constructivist because its theoretical-documentary base and a large part of the practice are completely due to these pedagogical principles, moreover there are some aspects to improve, such as providing authentic freedom to teachers and students to adapt to the vertiginous social change or, achieving a true inclusive system within the classroom.
