Abstract

Abstract:In today's society, food has become an extremely important part of our culture and life. Eating is no longer just a necessity, but a pleasant and highly stimulating experience. Today, many tourists are looking for sustainable tourism destinations and products. The development of gastronomic tourism also reflects this trend. Through this research work, the design of a gastronomic tourist route is proposed that seeks to merge the tasting of ancestral and traditional flavors, revealing the most popular restaurants near the Malecón 2000, in addition to recommending the most famous tourist places in the city center to provide tourists an unforgettable experience; thus contributing to the development of local industry and improving the standard of living of the population. The main objective is to know places of interest, bars and restaurants, and show the typical food and drink establishments of the area, which make a certain region famous, in this case the center of Guayaquil. Therefore, in order to actively implement the gastronomic tourism routes, it is necessary that the participating communities and institutions cooperate to train their customer service and make the necessary corrections to provide quality services. Of course, assistance and sponsorship from the relevant authorities is also essential.
