Abstract: Abstract:The present study focused on the Ecuadorian public high school teachers' perceptions of technological resources used in their EFL classrooms during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study was conducted in the provinces of Pichincha, El Oro, Imbabura, Sucumbíos, Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas and Santa Elena.The sample population included ten public high school EFL teachers, three of them were male, and seven were female. In order to carry out this research, a mixed approach, both quantitative and qualitative, was applied. The data was collected through the data collection instruments of interview and survey. After gathering the evidence, it was analyzed considering the highest percentages and the answers of the participants. The main findings showed that EFL teachers' perceptions towards the use of ICT in their classrooms during the pandemic are highly positive due to the benefits they provide. Likewise, their perceptions of their own technological competencies are greatly positive. In addition, all of the investigated technological resources were used by the educators however the most frequently used were WhatsApp, YouTube, Virtual platforms, PowerPoint presentations, Web pages, and Educational Apps.
Description: Resumen: El presente estudio se enfocó en las percepciones de los profesores de inglés de colegios públicos ecuatorianos sobre los recursos tecnológicos utilizados en sus aulas durante la pandemia de COVID-19. Este estudio se realizó en las provincias de Pichincha, El Oro, Imbabura, Sucumbíos, Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas y Santa Elena, con una muestra de diez profesores de inglés; tres hombres y siete mujeres. Para realizar esta investigación se aplicó un enfoque mixto, tanto cuantitativo como cualitativo. Los datos fueron recolectados a través de las técnicas de entrevista y encuesta. Luego de recolectar la evi dencia, se analizó considerando los porcentajes más altos y las respuestas de los participantes. Los principales hallazgos muestran que las percepciones de los profesores sobre el uso de las TIC en sus aulas durante la pandemia son altamente positivas, debido a los beneficios que les brindan. Igualmente, muestran percepciones positivas sobre sus propias competencias tecnológicas. Además, todos los recursos tecnológicos investigados son utilizados por los educadores, sin embargo, los usados con más frecuencia fueron WhatsApp, YouTube, plataformas virtuales, presentaciones de PowerPoint, páginas web y aplicaciones educativas.
