Ecuadorian public high school teachers perceptions on technological resources used by teacher in their EFL classrooms during the COVID-19 pandemic

Abstract

Abstract: Thi s research i s about the percept i ons of Ecuadori an publ i c hi gh school teachers on t echnol ogi cal resources used by t eachers i n Engl i sh as a forei gn l anguage c l assroom duri ng the COVID-19 pandem i c. The obj ect i ve i s to anal yze the technol ogi cal resources used by t eachers i n Engl i sh as a forei gn l anguage c l assrooms. Thi s study was carri ed out i n t he provi nces of Loj a and Zamora Chi nchi pe. Ten t eachers of Engl i sh as a forei gn l anguage were sel ect ed as a sampl e. In addi t i on, the m i xed method, qual i t at i ve and quant i t at i ve approach was used. Qual i t at i ve research was used for narrat i ve i nformat i on and the quant i t at i ve method was used t o col l ect and i nt erpret the dat a. In addi t i on, the t echni ques used i n the present study were surveys and i nt ervi ews w i th teachers. A s a general conc l usi on, i t was found that the maj ori ty of t eachers use What sApp and onl i ne di ct i onari es i n thei r c l assrooms for the fol l ow i ng reasons.
