Abstract: Abstract: The purpose of this research was to analyze which technological resources are the most used by teachers inEFL classrooms during the COVID-19 pandemic, the frequency of its use, it also seeks toanalyzeperceptions that teachers had about them.Ten EFL teachers, eight females and two males,from Ecuadorian public high schools located in Pichincha and Napo provinces who had around one to twenty years of EFL teaching experience took part in this research. A mixed-method that combined qualitative and quantitative approaches for data collection was used, thesedata were gathered from interviews and surveys where EFL teachers answered questions about the use of technology, its benefits, and disadvantages. To have a better understanding of the research problem, a literaturereview of different authors from books, journals, and other documents was also analyzed. This research showed that during the COVID-19 pandemic EFL teachershad a positive attitude toward the frequent use of technological resources such as virtual platforms, online games,andPowerPoint presentations. These resources were helpful becauseeducators could enhanceteaching and improve theclass environment as well.
Description: Resumen: Estainvestigación pretende analizar qué recursos tecnológicos fueron los más utilizados por los docentes de inglés durantela pandemia de COVID-19, la frecuencia de su uso, y laspercepciones que tenían sobre estos recursos, para ello participarondiez docentes,ocho mujeres y dos hombres educadores de secundarias públicas de lasprovincias Pichinchay Napo, quienes teníanentre uno y veinte años de experiencia en la enseñanza del inglés. Se utilizó un método mixto,combinó enfoques cualitativos y cuantitativos,para la recopilación de datos se usóentrevistas,encuestas donde los maestrosrespondieron preguntas sobre el uso de la tecnología, ventajasy desventajas. Para tener una mejor comprensión del problema de investigación, se analizó la revisión de la literatura de diferentes autores de libros, revistas y otros documentos.Esta investigación demostró que durante la pandemia COVID-19 los docentes mostraron actitudes positivas hacia el uso frecuente de recursos tecnológicos tales como plataformas virtuales,juegos en línea, presentaciones PowerPoint. Estos recursos fueron de gran ayuda para los docentes ya que permitieron mejorar la enseñanza y a su vez el ambiente de la clase.
