Abstract

Abstract:This study, Ecuadorian public high school teacher s perceptions on technological resources used by teachers in their EFL classrooms during the COVID -19 pandemic is aimedto know and identify the main technological resources, the frequency, and the teachers perceptionsaboutthem. This study took place in Nueva Loja, Sucumbíos Province, Ecuador. The information was obtained through surveys and interviews applied toten English teachers from thecities ofLago Agrio, Tarapoa and the Dorado de Cascales. The analysis was conducted throughamixed method combiningquantitative and qualitative approaches. The quantitative data was gatheredthrough surveys about the use and frequency of technological resources while the qualitative data was collected throughquestionnaires with informative data from the participantsand their perceptionstoward them. The obtained data indicated that the English teachers used technological resources in their teachingsuch as WhatsApp, Virtual Platformsand YouTube.Teachers demonstratepositive attitudestowardsthe use oftechnological resources by takingadvantage of all opportunities forusingthem; they includedthem to innovate their classes,creating multiple ways to help their students acquire the new knowledge.
