Abstract: | Abstract: The research entitled Ecuadorian public high school teachers perceptions on technological resources used in their EFL classrooms during COVID 19 pandemics has as general objective to analyze technological resources used by teachers in their EFL classroom.Present work was carried out with the participation of 10 EFL Teachers of high school in the cities of Santa Elena, Salinas, La Libertad,and Guayaquil. Themixed-method was employed by using quantitative and qualitative approaches, techniques used wereinterviewsand surveys; instrumentsusedteacher squestionnaires. Results revealed that technological resources used in EFL teaching are YouTube, WebPages, PowerPointPresentation (PPT), educational applications,such as Kahoot andQuizzes,online dictionaries, such asWord reference.By using electronic devices, they were able to have their classes at home without exposition to pandemic.Moreover, confinement and change in online modality have made teachers develop technological skills and dynamically integrate digital resourcesas complement communicate with their students, mobile learning provides a great opportunity to have knowledge everywhere and anytime. |
Description: | Resumen: La investigación titulada Percepciones de docentes de escuelas secundarias públicas ecuatorianas sobre recursos tecnológicos utilizados en sus aulas EFL durante la pandemia COVID-19 tiene como objetivo general analizarlos recursos tecnológicos utilizado por docentes en sus aulas. El presente trabajo se llevó a cabo con participación de 10 profesores de inglés de bachillerato en las ciudades Santa Elena, Salinas, La Libertad y Guayaquil. El método mixto fue empleado utilizando enfoques cuantitativos y cualitativos, con encuestas y entrevistas como técnicas. El instrumento utilizado un cuestionario para profesores. Los resultados revelaron recursos tecnológicos utilizados en enseñanza de inglés como lengua extranjera son YouTube, páginas web, presentaciones en PowerPoint (PPT), Microsoft teams, aplicaciones educativas como Kahooty Quizzes,Word reference. El uso tecnológico es del 60% al 90% siempre, sus actitudes son Totalmente de acuerdo y de acuerdo. Además, el confinamiento y cambio de modalidad online han hecho que docentes desarrollen habilidades tecnológicas e integren dinámicamente los recursos digitales, dominados en cada clase. |
