Abstract

Abstract: The present degree work: Principles of social constructivism in the Institutional Pedagogical Proposal of the Private Educational Unit "Corazón de María", located in the city of Cuenca, province of Azuay. Its general objective was: To explain the contribution of social constructivism to student learning as the foundation of the institutional pedagogical proposal.Due to the limitations that arose due to the Sanitary Emergency (Covid-19), a research methodology was implemented in such a way that the work had to strictly refer to the bibliographic analysis, for which data was not taken from the students and teachers relevant to the research. As a result of this research, it was possible to show that each constructivist principle is essential for student learning, contributing significantly to the teaching-learning process of the educational establishment. In the same way, the importance of the Constructivist Pedagogical Model is emphasized, since it has become the fundamental basis of education, and which also strengthens all educational institutions, and gives us the guidelines to improve our development as teachers within the classroom; and, therefore, improve the academic performance, and the level of knowledge of the students of the institution.
