Abstract

Abstract:This paper addresses the problem of the VAT refund process for senior citizens and people with disabilities in Ecuador, characterized by being specialized and time-consuming. A technological solution is proposed that simplifies the integration of systems to facilitate the automatic refund of VAT, improving the taxpayer experience and alleviating the administrative burden of the Internal Revenue Service (SRI). The solution includes the development of a software architecture that allows efficient communication between third-party applications and SRI services, using technologies such as REST API and JDBC. This implementation hopes to significantly reduce waiting times and promote a positive social impact by including a wide range of businesses in this process.
