Abstract

Abstract: The present research is based on determining and analyzing the incidence of socioemotional skills in the positive development of the teaching and learning process of students in the tenth year of general basic education, where it was identified that there is a positive appreciation of socioemotional skills and their importance for the integral development of the person, the research was conducted in the Private Education Unit Julio María Matovelle , located in the canton of La Troncal, the total population belonging to the upper basic is 250 students, The research design is descriptive, with a sample of 28 students selected in a non-probabilistic way to whom the research instrument was applied, which consisted of 46 items with a Likert scale, which allowed collecting important information for the research. The analysis was carried out by means of a sectioning of four blocks, and the results reflected that there is a strong incidence of socioemotional skills in students, however, there are certain socioemotional skills that require more attention.
