Students and teacher´s perceptions towards EFL virtual instruction

Abstract

Abstract: The present research, "Students and teachers perceptions towards EFL virtual instruction", explores the point of view of students and educators about the virtual instruction in the EFL classroom from a religious affiliated subsidized school located in Cariamanga-Loja. The purpose of this research is to determinate how useful the application of virtual instruction is in EFL lessons. Analyzing the perceptions of the different actors in the academic field: teachers, students and parents. The application of a mixed methodology, including qualitative and quantitative data, enhanced the compilation of the data. Thirty students, two teachers, and eight parents brought the information and participated in this study from a high school located in Loja. It was focused on five main areas: environment, feedback, teaching materials, interaction and tasks. The results show that virtual education is an effective tool for the educative community.
