Systematization of Pedagogical Experiences in the EFL Teaching Training Program

Abstract

Abstract: The current study titled Systematization of Pedagogical Experiences in the Teacher Training Program for English as a Foreign Language, has as its purpose to analyze and reflect on the experiences gained during pre-professional internships and to examine the teaching-learning process in EFL classrooms. These pre-professional practices were carried out in different educational institutions which were public institutions , these institutions are located in Loja city, Ecuador. This study adopted a qualitative approach through the systematization of experiences, allowing the interpretation of the situations encountered throughout the training process. This work was based on the completion of Practicum 1 and Practicum 2, which provided the foundation for the analysis of pedagogical experiences. A literature review was conducted, and information gathered through observation forms was examined. The systematization focused on the observation experiences from Practicum 1 and the teaching experiences from Practicum 2, considering four key aspects: planning, linguistic aspects, learning management, and methodology. The findings highlighted the importance of effective planning, appropriate language use, classroom management, and engaging teaching strategies in promoting meaningful learning. These experiences also contributed to the development of teaching skills and a better understanding of the responsibilities of the teaching profession.
