Abstract: The present project consists in the elaboration of a computer tool that analyzes the historical behavior of historical models and, from now on, the analyst can develop 81 mathematical models that allow estimating their future values. Mathematical models are converted through methodology. Box-Jenkins or also known as ARIMA models. The volumetric flows in the Uchima River were taken as a case study. The instantaneous maximum flows of each month of the historical record of data were analyzed since the floods are related to extreme events. Finally, the mathematical model that governs the evolution of the flow over time was designed. Based on this, forecasts were generated for the subsequent year to the series, making the hydraulic modeling for the forecast of greater flow in the stretch of the river where the gauging station is located.
