Systematization of Pedagogical Experiences in the EFL Teaching Training Program

Abstract

Abstract: The present research work, Systematization of Pedagogical Experiences in the EFL Teacher Training Program, aims to improve pedagogical-conceptual accuracy to detect features in specific aspects of practice and to generate confidence in the creation of pedagogical solutions. It was carried out by a preservice teacher at the end of the training program. The reports of Practicum 1 and Practicum 2 subjects were analyzed. Practicum 1 focused on a class observation experience that recorded the pedagogical aspects of other preservice teachers classes, and Practicum 2 documents the experience in the role of an English teacher. Both subjects took place during the Pandemic s lockdown. The systematization process is based on distinctly identifying four pedagogical aspects and its correspondent sub-aspects of the practice: planning, linguistic aspects, learning management, and methodology, using a qualitative method through reflection with theoretical support. The systematization process has helped the pre-service teacher clarify aspects of the pedagogical framework, and a theory-based lesson plan builds solid classroom practice.
