Abstract

Abstract: Teachers in their daily performance tend to present some needs and disadvantages when working with a heterogeneous group of students, and when they do not have sufficient academic preparation, these situations can be aggravated. The research topic of the present work is the "Diagnosis of the training needs of teachers of baccalaureate in the specialties of Physics and Mathematics in the school period 2017-2018", being its objective to determine the training needs of teachers of the subject in study. For the research, a questionnaire was used by the UTPL, which was applied to 10 high school teachers from the city of Portovelo. The methods used were: analytical, deductive, inductive, statistical, hermeneutic, systematic. The design used was the non-experimental transectional and the techniques for data collection were bibliographic and field. It is concluded that the majority of teachers of physics and mathematics have only a third level degree, although the majority also if they are interested in becoming professional; They also require training courses on teaching methods and resources.
