Zusammenfassung: Abstract: This study examines the pedagogical and social factors that influence English language learning. The objective was to identify and analyze the factors that affect the English language learning process. The study was conducted in a private school in Santo Domingo, Ecuador, with 30 second-year high school students and 3 teachers. A mixed-methods approach was used. Data were collected through surveys and interviews with students and teachers. Quantitative data were analyzed using percentages, while qualitative data helped explain the results. The findings showed that teaching methods, classroom resources, and interactive activities help students learn English. Social factors such as family support, social media, music, and films had a positive influence. However, access to resources and socioeconomic conditions affect learning. Overall, the results show the importance of using different teaching strategies, providing helpful feedback, using technology in the classroom, and considering students' social backgrounds to improve English language learning.
